Services Offered Comfort House, staffed by an executive director, a house manager and volunteers, can accommodate 12 families. The George House is a member of the National Association of Hospital Hospitality Houses, Inc., a private, non-profit organization consisting of more than 200 members and medical host houses. The house offers the following services:
sleeping areas - laundry facilities
- bathing facilities
- kitchen facilities
- telephone
- supportive environment with resident staff and companionship of others
- short-term or long-term stays may be arranged.
The house has served families from 23 different states. As of 
January 12, 2001, the house had served 422 families since opening its doors in April of 2000. The average stay is seven days. Most of the time, there is a waiting list. It costs approximately $250 a day to operate the house.
The house is also a member of the National Association of Hospital Hospitality Houses, Inc.
