Comfort House residents should live at least 50 miles beyond Huntington and have no relatives within 50 miles of Huntington. "All the referral hospitals here that use the House recognize its value to the community," says Duane Cook, chairman of the board of directors of the Huntington non-profit facility.

of us who serve as volunteer board members in turn appreciate the
contributionsmade by the 
many local volunteers, churches, service
organizations and corporations."
The George House is a member of the National Association of Hospital Hospitality Houses, Inc., a private, non-profit organization consisting of more than 200 members and medical host houses.
